Jardins intérieurs
Recent acquisitions from the Collection Majudia
The past months have brought a difficult exercise of solitude. The lockdown constrained us to find inside of ourselves a place of dream, imagination and vitality that felt out of reach. This period revealed that in the folds of intimacy can lie fertile grounds for the creative impulse.
This exhibition presents the work of 24 Canadian and international artists, whose pieces are, for the most part, being shown again for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. The idea of a garden unfolds as a mobile space, both physical and metaphorical and seen here as a place of intimacy and introspection. Through these works, it is possible to interpret the world, to better understand it and to find one’s place in it.
